Wheels Up Family is a personal blog. Emily writes it, Josh takes the photographs, and it exists so our family and friends can follow along. It is not a business and we are not trying to build an audience or a mailing list out of you.

That makes this page short.

What we collect

Nothing that you type, because there is nothing here to type into. There are no accounts, no logins, no sign up forms and no comment box.

Like every website, ours is served by a host, and the host keeps ordinary server logs: the address your request came from, the page you asked for, the time, and what browser you used. That happens automatically, it is how the internet works, and we use it only to keep the site up and to see roughly how many people visited. We do not try to work out who you are from it, and we do not sell it, share it or hand it to anyone for advertising.

We do not set advertising cookies and we do not run trackers that follow you to other sites.

Comments from the old site

The earlier version of this blog let people leave comments. A handful of those are kept on their original posts because they are part of the story. They show the name the person gave and what they wrote. Email addresses and IP addresses from those old comments were not carried over to this site.

The new site does not have a comment form. If you want to say something, send it to us the way you normally would.

Links to other places

Some posts link out: to a rental we stayed in, a tour we booked, a piece of gear we liked. A few of those are Amazon links that earn us a small commission if you buy something. It costs you nothing and it does not change what we recommend. We only link to things we actually used.

When you follow any link away from here you are on someone else's site, under their rules, not ours.

Photographs of our family

Most of the people in the photographs on this site are our own children, and we publish those pictures by choice. If you appear in one of our photographs and would rather not, tell us and we will take it down. No explanation needed.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age.

Getting something removed

If you want a photograph, a comment or anything else taken down, or you want to know what a server log has of yours, email us and we will sort it out. We are a family with a blog, not a company with a legal department, so just ask.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
